Sabbah Media Corporation celebrates its 65th anniversary in an Annual Suhour

BEIRUT: In its prestigious annual Suhour, Sabbah Media Corporation celebrated this year its 65th year of impressive contributions in Arabic internationally-awarded movies and high rated TV Series of Egyptian, Lebanese and Pan-Arab origins and co-productions.

The ceremony, which was held in St. Georges Yacht Club, witnessed the attendance of an array of distinguished filmmakers, actors and mega stars including those who have collaborated with the corporation throughout the years. Women in fancy gowns and men in suits walked the red carpet with photographers taking pictures and reporters interviewing them.

In his opening speech, owner of the corporation Sadek Sabbah expressed the company's keys of success.

“I would like to thank every person who contributed to the success of our company and who helped it grow into the Arab world. We are celebrating today the 65th anniversary of a dream which became a reality; we succeeded with a policy based on diversity, openness, and tolerance of others,” he said.

He added: “We are passing through hard times in the Arab region, politically, economically and socially. But since every artist can be a decision-maker, each one of us can contribute. Drama is a legalized weapon internationally, and through it we can raise our voices and showcase problems with solutions.”

This Ramadan ,Sabbah Media Corporation boasts the production of several series such as :”Al Haibeh AL Hasad”,”Khamseh W Nos”,”Enti Min”,”Dakiket Samet” ,”Wlad Al Ghallaba” and many others.

Attendees included actors like: Cynthia Samuel, Anjo Rihan ,Sara Abi Kanaan, Carlos Azar,Khitam Al Lahham,Roula Hmadeh,Carine Rizkalla,Hind Baz,Cyrine Abd el Nour,and Stephanie Saliba;singers such as Assi Al Hallani,Maritta Al Hallani,Joe Raad,and May Hariri;and reporters including Mouhammad Kais, Diana Fakhoury and many others.

Singer Assi Al Hallani who showed up with his family expressed his joy during the night.

“Sabbah Media Corporation is a huge success and the proof is the competition between all of the series it produces;I am watching “Al Haibeh”, “Khamseh w Nos” and “Enti Min”.We are proud of this company’s achievements; the number one benefiter is the viewer who is offered shows of high standards,” he said.

Similarly, actress Carla Boutros indicated the importance of having such series during Ramadan to entertain people and engage their emotions.

“Each one of them tells a story that a lot of people can relate to,” she said.

TV host Mouhammad Kais professed to Annahar that his favorite series is “Khamseh Wnos” since he finds every character in it intriguing .He explained that he enjoys the plot twist where “everything is not what it seems.”

Next to a large pool, guests enjoyed a sumptuous buffet of mouth-watering dishes and fruity drinks while listening to peaceful music that soothed their ears.

The Suhour was a wonderful opportunity for actors to meet and congratulate each others on the success of their series and for the press to ask the actors about the roles they are starring in.

Cynthia Samuel, who plays the role of a physically abused woman in “Khamseh w Nos” showed up with a different hair color which she referred to as a hint for what happens in the coming episodes.

Carine Rizkallah wrote the Ramadan series “Enti Min” and is currently starring in it. She explained that she tried to showcase in her script the danger of using guns and following political leaders to raise awareness about the seriousness of these issues.

On their way out, celebrities mingled with fans who took pictures with them and who will eagerly continue to watch them throughout their Ramadan series-most of which are produced by Sabbah Media Corporation.
