التعليم هو الخلاص... تلامذة SABIS أدما كتبوا في "بكرا أحلى"

If I don’t go to school, when I grow up and become a parent, I won’t be able to teach my children.

School is good because it lets us learn and also lets us make new friends. I can’t imagine not going to school. School is the best!

Grade 4 L’éducation est un droit essentiel qui permet aux enfants de s’épanouir dans leur vie de tous les jours.

Elle permet d’acquérir des connaissances de base : compter, lire, écrire…

Elle nous donne la chance d’apprendre des chansons.

Ainsi, l’éducation doit être garantie à tous les enfants et c’est la responsabilité des gouvernements de le faire.

L’enfant est le père de l’homme.

4 - Owen Sacy, Grade 3 Joseph Rizk, Grade 5

L’éducation est permanente ; quand on lit, quand on étudie et même quand on joue. En effet, le Droit à l’éducation est un des droits de l’Homme. L’éducation peut changer la vie. Mais comment ?

L’éducation nous permet de communiquer et elle facilite notre vie quotidienne. Elle garantit le fait de trouver du travail et d’entamer une conversation utile.

En plus, l’éducation réduit la fréquence des guerres dans le monde ; quand on n’est pas éduqué on a tendance à être agressif, par contre, quand on est éduqué on réfléchit avant d’agir.

D’autre part, l’éducation a permis le développement de la technologie qui est très bénéfique.

En cas de manque d’éducation, les conséquences sont mauvaises : moins de médecins et plus de maladies, moins de scientifiques et donc moins d’inventions…

En conclusion, l’éducation est très importante et elle n’a jamais de limite. Comme a dit Nelson Mandela : « L'éducation est l'arme la plus puissante qu'on puisse utiliser pour changer le monde »

5 - Nour Mansour, Grade 6 Nay Herro,

 It is important to go to school to have an education and to learn new things that will help us have a better future. If I couldn’t come to school, I would miss a lot of work, new things to learn, and I would miss playing with my friends. School is important for all children, because they learn how to write, learn new languages, learn about what is in their bodies and a lot of things. In my opinion, I would feel sad if I couldn’t go to school and could not get a good education.

6 - Isabella Vaccaro, Grade 5 Rayyan Hallany, Grade 6

School is essential to all of us. It helps our dreams for the future come true. Many people when asked might say that they don’t like coming to school, but when they are absent, they feel like they want to come to school. School is also an opportunity to meet new people and learn new things. School teaches us responsibility and patience: responsibility for the studies and the homework assignments we have, and patience for the vacations. It helps us divide our time—time for studying and time for playing. School teaches us about the world we are living in and the injustices it has. It teaches us about other people and how they live. School is also our future. School teaches us behavior and discipline. Next time you don’t want to come to school, think twice!

School is important to make dreams come true. School helps make the world a better place, and young children are able to make future technologies better. Children learn to respect the laws like they do in school—school is a place for everyone. I think it is essential for every child to go to school.

8 - Michael Nicholas, KG3 Mia Louis,

Grade 6 More than 67 million children are not provided with proper primary education, and 781 million adults are illiterate because they never got a good education. As mentioned in Article 26 of the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights, humans are required to have access to appropriate education, regardless of sex, gender, race nationality, religion, or political preference. Education matters as it decreases poverty, reduces inequalities, and helps the economic situation in the country. Also, it helps achieve long-lasting peace and helps create more human rights. The government plays an important role as it is needed to provide more access to schools and materials regardless of one’s economic situation. As a student in SABIS International School – Adma, I believe that education is very important; I am very happy to have such a good school and education as I know it will make me a better person.

9 - Sara Nassif, Grade 6 Meryl Haddad, Grade 7

We as children, are the future of our society. How would you feel if a big part of us lacked a proper education or even any education at all? As humans, we rely on the future to be more promising, and we hope that what we are leaving behind is better than what has existed in our time. But how can that be, when, up until today, not all children have access to an education? How can we claim rights like equality when a big part of us does not even have basic rights?

When describing or defining education, UNICEF claims that education is more than just a fundamental right; it helps pave the way to a successful and productive future. Other than the fact that it is a vital right, education creates opportunities for people to portray their true potential. It can be a catalyst needed to pull families and communities out of the cycle of poverty. Knowledge gives children the power to dream of a better future.

All children have the same rights. They are all born equal. If one has the right to learn, then all other children should have that right too. Imagine being part of a family and having a sibling, and due to circumstances, only one of you gets to go to school every day and gets to practice his/her right to an education which increases their chances of a successful future, while you sit idle and watch your future crashing before your eyes.

Education should not be fought for. Education should become one of the core necessities that exist in one’s life. It is a means of communication, success, and opportunities to give back and make the world a better place.

10 - Olivia Keyrouz, Grade 5 Romy Maalouli, Grade 7

L’éducation est très importante pour tout être humain. Elle stimule notre cerveau pour que nous puissions bien gérer notre vie sociale et surtout professionnelle. Elle nous aide à résoudre des problèmes de la vie quotidienne d’une manière logique et intelligente.

Tout le monde a le droit d’être éduqué. D’abord, l’éducation permet d’acquérir les connaissances de base, comme les mathématiques, les sciences… De plus, les personnes éduquées n’agissent pas comme celles qui ne le sont pas. En effet, une des causes majeures des guerres c’est le manque d’éducation.

En conclusion, l’éducation est impérative pour nous tous. Elle n’a jamais de limites. Il ne faut guère s’obstiner d’apprendre. L’éducation fait du monde un meilleur endroit de vie.

11 - Jiana Bou Nader جودي طنّوس

 أذكر جيّدًا، ومنذ كان عمري أربع سنوات، كيف كانت أمّي توقظني كلّ صباح لكي أذهب إلى المدرسة. منذ ذلك الحين، اعتقدت أنّ كلّ الأطفال في هذا العالم يفعلون الشّيء نفسه ويذهبون إلى المدرسة.

رحلاتي المتكرّرة من مكان سكني إلى ضيعتي، وسفري الدّائم إلى حيث يعمل والدي في أفريقيا، فتحا عينيّ على انّ الكثيرين من الأطفال لا يذهبون إلى المدرسة. كثيرون منهم يقفون على إشارات السّير يتسوّلون، وبعضهم يمارس أعمال البيع على الطّرقات وفي المحلّات التّجاريّة.

ومع الوقت، بدأت أسأل عن المسؤول عن حرمان هؤلاء الأطفال من الذّهاب إلى المدرسة. هل هو الأهل؟ هل هو الجهل؟ هل هو الفقر؟ ليتني أعرف من السّبب في بقاء هؤلاء الاولاد خارج المدارس وعلى الطّرقات بين السّيّارات يتقاتلون على الزّبائن وعلامات المرض والتّعب بادية على وجوههم. في الصّيف هم تحت أشعّة الشّمس الحارقة، وفي الشّتاء تحت الأمطار. في أفريقيا أراهم يعملون بنفس الظّروف، ولا يذهبون إلى المدارس.

حرامٌ أن يبقى هؤلاء في الشّوارع. مكانهم على مقاعد الدّراسة.

تعليم هؤلاء مسؤوليّة تقع على عاتق الجميع دون استثناء. على الأهل والدّولة والجمعيّات. عليهم كلّهم العمل على إرسال الأطفال، كلّ الأطفال إلى المدارس والمعاهد. على الأهل تشجيع أبنائهم والعمل على تعليمهم، وعلى الدّولة تأمين الدّراسة والرّعاية والتّعليم المجّانيّ كي يحصل عليه الجميع. وعلى الجمعيّات ممارسة دورها في التّوعية وتشجيع الأهل على إرسال أبنائهم إلى المدارس. أتمنّى على الدّولة، بل أطالبها بإنشاء صندوق للتّبرّعات في كلّ المدارس الرّسميّة والخاصّة والجامعات لمساعدة الأطفال في الحصول على التّعليم في ظروف كريمة لائقة.

كنتُ لأساهمَ في هذا الصّندوق من مصروفي اليوميّ، وأن أتعاونَ مع رفاقي بجمع المال اللّازم من كلّ المدارس وخاصّة في فترات الأعياد.

أخيرًا أتمنّى أن يحصل كلّ طفل على حقّ التّعلّم كما أحصل عليه أنا، فالخطر هذا خطرٌ على مجتمعنا وعلى كلّ العالم. علينا العمل المتواصل لنحقّق شعارًا أحلم بتحقيقه وهو: التّعليم للجميع.

12 - Nathalie El Baghdadi,  ساره نصر

Grade 7 أنتمي إلى أسرة تهتمّ بتعليمي في واحدة من أهمّ وأرقى مدارس لبنان. وحتّى الأمس القريب كنت أعتقد أنّ جميع الأطفال يذهبون إلى المدرسة بمعزل عن مستوى هذه المدرسة. لكن منذ أسبوعين، وبينما كنت عائدة مع أهلي من زيارة أقاربنا في كفرشيما، وفي زحمة السّير الخانقة، لفت نظري أطفال يتزاحمون على التّسوّل من ركّاب السّيّارات. فتحت نافذتي، وسألت أحد الصّبية إن كان يتعلّم. فوجئت بجواب: ماذا تعني المدرسة؟ وقال آخر: أحبّ المدرسة لكن أبي لا يرسلني إليها.

عدت إلى البيت في صَدْمَةٍ وحُزْنٍ، وأنا أفكّر بحظّ هؤلاء الأطفال... بعد أن أنهيت درسي توجّهت إلى جدّي ورحت أطرح عليه أسئلتي وأفكاري عن موضوع الطّفل وحقوقه في التّعليم. وأخبرته عَنْ كلِّ ما رأيته على الطّريق.

فرح جدّي بي، وهنّأني على عاطفتي وتفكيري. وراح يقول إن للأطفال حقوقًا كثيرة منها الطّبابة والرّعاية والتّعليم. وأنّ هؤلاء الاطفال المشرّدين هم ضحيّة الكبار من أهل ومسؤولين لا يقومون بأبسط واجباتهم في تأمين حقوق هؤلاء الأطفال الضّعفاء البريئين. ثمّ أخبرني عن قانون اسمه إلزاميّة التّعليم، يجبر الجميع على تأمين التّعليم لكلّ الأطفال. لكنّ هذا القانون لم يطبّقه المسؤولون للأسف كما أخبرني جدّي. وهذا يعود لجهل الأهل وتقاعس المسؤولين عن القيام بواجباتهم.

إنّ وجود الأطفال خارج المدرسة يعني زيادة الجهل والأمّيّة، وتراجع حضارة البلاد والانفتاح فيها.

ليتني أستطيع إيصال صوتي لكلّ من يعنيهم هذا الموضوع، كَي أطالبهم بالعمل الفوريّ على إعادة كلّ طفل إلى المدرسة التي هي مكانه الطّبيعيّ.

المشهد الّذي رأيته جعلني أعد نفسي وجدّي بالعمل على هذا الموضوع عندما أكبر. واليوم أطالب المسؤولين بالعمل على تنفيذ القوانين. والأهل بأن يعرفوا مصلحة أبنائهم، فيغلِّبوها على كلِّ أمرٍ آخر.

شكري أوجّهه اخيرّا لجريدة النّهار ومدرستي لأنّهما فتّحتا عينيّ على موضوع يخدم أطفال لبنان.
