Farewell to Pierre and Flavia Mouawad: Lebanese Forces veteran honored in Keserwan funeral procession
The funeral procession of Pierre Mouawad and his wife Flavia commenced from Dhour El Choueir Hospital to Ain Saadeh, with their coffins carried by pallbearers in a farewell march led by Deputy Melhem Riachi, accompanied by traditional music and the scattering of rice and flowers. The procession then moved towards the Municipality of Bourj Hammoud, where Pierre worked, continued to Saint Joseph Church, and proceeded further to Ghazir, finally reaching Yahchouch in Ftouh, Keserwan.
This farewell stop served as a precursor before the procession proceeded to Ghazir, where a special ceremony was held.
The procession then headed to the village of Aadra in Ftouh, Keserwan, gathering in front of the "Lebanese Forces" center.
Approaching half-past twelve, the procession reached Yahchouch, where a prayer service for their souls was held at four o’clock in the afternoon at Saint Simeon Stylites Church.
