In light of the anticipated U.S.-Iran negotiations in Turkey next Friday, and amid the possibility of reaching common ground to de-escalate tensions, a source in Iranian military intelligence told the Iranian news agency Fars that the U.S. aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, along with several accompanying destroyers and submarines, has withdrawn from Chabahar Port and is now stationed near the Gulf of Aden, east of Socotra Island, south of Yemen.

According to the source, the fleet is positioned approximately 1,400 kilometers from Chabahar Port, southeast of Iran.

Reports indicate that the aircraft carrier strike group is currently operating in the Gulf of Aden.

U.S. officials have not confirmed this information.

The talks are expected to begin next Friday in Turkey, where U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff will meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to initiate direct discussions aimed at de-escalating tensions.
