As Israeli breaches continue in southern Lebanon, Israeli army spokesperson Captain Ella announced the targeting of a Hezbollah member in the Hanin area of the Bint Jbeil district.
A circulated video clip of the raid showed the targeted car engulfed in flames, with reports indicating one casualty.
On Sunday night, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center at the Ministry of Health reported that “an Israeli enemy raid on a car near the factory in the Lebanese-Syrian border area resulted in the martyrdom of four individuals.”
In this context, the Lebanese army stated that it detonated an Israeli drone carrying explosives after it crashed on the outskirts of Houla in the Marjayoun district.
More than 370 people have been killed in Lebanon by Israeli strikes since the truce was reached, according to an Agence France-Presse tally based on data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
In January, the Lebanese army announced the completion of the first phase of a plan to restrict weapons to state control, covering an area extending 30 kilometers from the Israeli border.
Last August, the Lebanese government decided to restrict weapons to legitimate forces under the November 2024 ceasefire agreement.
In this context, Palestinian factions last year handed over weapons in several refugee camps to the Lebanese authorities.
Today, Monday, Lebanese Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal is set to present the second phase of the weapons-restriction plan to the government during a session eagerly awaited by the Lebanese public and the international community, ahead of the scheduled Army Support Conference on March 5.
