First Lebanon–Israel talks in Washington prioritize ceasefire efforts
Channel 12 Israel reported, citing a knowledgeable Lebanese source, that the talks scheduled for Tuesday will initially focus on reaching a ceasefire agreement, while the issue of disarming will be postponed to a later stage.
According to the same source, the Lebanese proposal also includes a request for US military support to help carry out the disarmament of Hezbollah, as well as an American economic aid package aimed at rebuilding areas in Lebanon that were damaged due to the recent escalation.

In Lebanon, attention is turning to the upcoming Washington meeting next Tuesday between Lebanon and Israel, in an effort to calm the front, amid calls for a ceasefire and Iranian conditions, while airstrikes on southern Lebanon and operations by Hezbollah continue.
It is known that the first round of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel, which will be held at the US Department of State next Tuesday, will take place at ambassadorial level.
The meeting will include Lebanon’s ambassador to Washington, Nada Moawad, Israel’s ambassador to Washington, Yechiel Leiter, as well as the US ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, who will attend all meetings on the American side.
