Iran rejects ceasefire, signals critical stage in Middle East peace talks
Amid U.S. threats on the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran sets its own conditions for lasting peace, including reconstruction and lifting sanctions.

Tehran rejects "Temporary Truce"
The official IRNA news agency reported that “Iran conveyed its response to Pakistan on the American proposal,” saying that “in this response, composed of ten points, Iran rejected the ceasefire and emphasized the need for a definitive end to the conflict.”
The agency stated that Tehran responded with its own demands, including calling for an end to regional conflicts, establishing a protocol for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, reconstruction, and lifting sanctions.
