The Israeli war on Lebanon has entered its fifth day, amid a dangerous escalation marked by a wave of violent airstrikes that targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut overnight, following a wide Israeli evacuation warning issued for the first time.

The South and the Bekaa also witnessed heavy airstrikes during the night that continued until the early morning hours.

 

The following are the main field developments:
- The Israeli military aircraft carried out a violent airstrike on the town of Hanniyeh in the Tyre district.
- Airstrikes targeted the towns of Souaneh and Khiam in southern Lebanon.
- The military aircraft also carried out strikes on the town of Srifa.
- A strike on the town of Qalawia destroyed the Scout message center and the women's husseiniya.

- An Israeli strike targeted the town of Aanqoun in the Sidon district.
- Airstrikes hit the towns of Duris and Brital in the Bekaa.

 

 

 

 

 

- Nighttime airstrikes struck the towns of Srifa, Aita al-Shaab, Touline, Souaneh, and Majdal Selem.

- In Zahrani, an airstrike targeted the office of the Al-Saksaki website, leading to its destruction.

 

Hezbollah's Operations

Meanwhile, Hezbollah issued a warning in Hebrew to residents of the northern settlements up to a depth of five kilometers.

 

 

Hezbollah also announced that it targeted a gathering of Israeli army vehicles at the newly established site in the town of Markaba for the third time, using a rocket salvo.

In another statement, the group said it targeted a gathering of advancing Israeli army vehicles from Wadi al-Asafir toward the southern neighborhood of the city of Khiam, confirming that it achieved direct hits and forced them to retreat.

In the Bekaa, Israeli military aircraft carried out airstrikes on the Brital plain, with initial reports indicating three people were injured, including two women and a child, amid intense aerial activity over the area. Later, the Israeli army conducted a second airstrike on the Brital plain, and airstrikes also targeted the city of Baalbek.

At the same time, Israeli military aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, hours after an Israeli army warning urging residents of several neighborhoods to evacuate their homes immediately.

After a large number of residents evacuated, the Israeli warplanes targeted multiple sites in the southern neighborhoods, carrying out a total of 11 strikes, with columns of smoke rising in the areas of Haret Hreik, Al-Jamous, and Burj al-Barajneh.

For its part, the Israeli army announced that it has attacked more than 500 targets in Lebanon since the start of the military operation. It also released aerial footage showing the bombing of several buildings in the southern suburbs, marking a total of 26 waves of attacks on the area since the beginning of the war.

Politically, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam will hold a meeting at 11 a.m. at the Grand Serail with the ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Lebanon, in the presence of Foreign and Expatriates Minister Youssef Raji and Social Affairs Minister Hanin al-Sayyed, to brief them on the latest developments and seek to secure all forms of diplomatic and humanitarian support under the current circumstances.
