Daily Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon continue, intensifying in recent hours after the Israeli military issued warnings to several villages, claiming they contain targets linked to Hezbollah and Hamas.

Early this morning, the "National News Agency" reported that an Israeli force detonated a 3-story building in the Bab al-Thania area west of the city of Khiam.

In addition, the Israeli Air Force is carrying out mock air raids at medium altitude over the Nabatieh and Iqlim al-Tuffah areas during the morning hours. The Air Force is also conducting flights at low and medium altitudes over several southern villages, reaching as far as Zahrani, Sidon, and Jezzine.

There is also intensified drone activity over the towns in the Nabatieh area.

Trump pushing for Israeli military operation against Lebanon?

Amid the ongoing daily military escalation, discussions are continuing about Israel’s potential readiness to launch a large-scale operation in Lebanon. Channel 12 reported, citing journalist Amit Segal, who is close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that U.S. President Donald Trump not only gave Netanyahu the green light for a military operation against Lebanon during their last meeting but is also personally urging the Israeli military to carry it out as soon as possible.

According to the Israeli journalist, “Trump believes the Lebanese government has failed to disarm Hezbollah within the specified timeframe,” noting that “it mirrors the 60-day timeline he gave Iran before the last war, which was then followed by granting Israel the green light to carry out military operations.”
