Time magazine has included several destinations in the UAE in its annual list of the world’s best places for 2026, highlighting top tourist, cultural, and hospitality spots that offer new and unique experiences for travelers worldwide.

Zayed National Museum

The list includes the Zayed National Museum, considered one of the most prominent new cultural destinations worth visiting. Located in the Cultural District of Saadiyat, it features a unique architectural design with steel structures resembling falcon feathers in flight, symbolizing the falcon as a significant emblem of Emirati heritage.

The museum aims to tell the story of the UAE and its extensive history spanning thousands of years, featuring exhibits that showcase human history dating back approximately 300,000 years.

Among the most prominent exhibits is the "Pearl of Abu Dhabi," dating back 8,000 years, along with a cuneiform tablet from 3,800 years ago, on loan from the British Museum in London, which is considered the oldest recorded customer complaint in history.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office stated via 'X': "The Zayed National Museum is included in Time magazine's list of the world's greatest places for 2026, celebrating 100 exceptional destinations worldwide. The museum, located in the Cultural District of Saadiyat, presents a narrative spanning 300,000 years of human history while honoring the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed."
