Lindsey Graham warns: Region on the brink of historic change
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has called on U.S. President Donald Trump to move forward in confronting Iran, warning that any retreat would be a "disaster for generations" and could be "worse than Afghanistan."
In an interview with Israel’s Channel 14, Graham said the issue of Iran "will be resolved in weeks, not months," referring to the accelerating developments related to the nuclear file and regional escalation.
Regarding the Gaza Strip, he stated that Hamas "will not disarm voluntarily," adding that Israel is "the only party capable of enforcing that."

He also proposed a model for rebuilding Gaza with the participation of Gulf countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, suggesting that this should be accompanied by changes in school curricula and the promotion of values of tolerance. He noted that "changing the deeply rooted extremism in Gaza will take time, but it is possible."
Graham concluded by saying that "the region is on the brink of the biggest change in a thousand years," describing the scale of the transformations he expects in the coming period.
