Yemen’s Houthi leader Abdul Malik al‑Houthi warns of military action, pledges loyalty to Iran
Houthi leader Abdul Malik al‑Houthi announced today, Thursday, that he would not hesitate to take a "military stance" if developments in the Middle East war require it, affirming "loyalty" to Iran, which supports the Yemeni rebels, against the American‑Israeli attack on it.
He said in a speech broadcast by the Houthi‑affiliated Al‑Masirah channel: "As the Yemeni people, we exchange loyalty for loyalty; during Yemen’s ordeal, the only official who stood in solidarity with us was Iran, and on a broader level, it was the Axis of Resistance."

He added: "I declare that we will never hesitate in fulfilling our Islamic duty of jihad in the path of God against the tyrant of the age, the Jewish Zionists, and their American arm. Any developments in the battle that require a military stance, we will initiate that, as in previous rounds."
Earlier, a leader of the Yemeni Houthi group told Reuters that the Iran‑aligned group, whose attacks on the Red Sea have caused chaos in navigation and trade during the Gaza war, is ready to strike this vital waterway again in solidarity with Tehran.
The Houthi leader, who requested not to be named due to the sensitivity of the topic, said: "We are fully militarily prepared and with all options. As for the other details related to determining the zero hour, they are left to the leadership, and we are monitoring and following developments, knowing when the movement will be needed."
