Following the Iranian strikes on southern Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the night as “very difficult.”
He announced that he had spoken with the mayor of Arad, Yair Maayan, and asked him to “convey our prayers on behalf of all Israeli citizens for the safety of the injured,” and he instructed his office’s general manager to provide all necessary support in cooperation with all government ministries.
Netanyahu confirmed that he is reinforcing the emergency and rescue forces currently working on the ground, and urged everyone to adhere to the instructions of the Israeli Home Front Command.

He concluded by saying, “We are determined to continue striking our enemies on all fronts.”
The number of injuries in the city of Arad in southern Israel has risen to over 120, following the fall of an Iranian missile weighing about 450 kilograms, amid reports of deaths and missing persons under the rubble.
Medical sources reported that Magen David Adom teams are dealing with “a very major incident,” with people trapped and cut off from communication, while helicopters participate in evacuating the injured.
