A U.S. official told Reuters on Friday that 12 American soldiers, two of them in serious condition, were injured in an Iranian military attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

These recent injuries add to more than 300 American soldiers who have been wounded since the war with Iran began on February 28.

Earlier, the U.S. military stated that 273 of them have already returned to duty. Thirteen American soldiers have been killed in this conflict.

In addition, the official spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Defense, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, revealed that Saudi defenses detected the launch of seven ballistic missiles toward the Riyadh area. Two of these missiles were intercepted, one was destroyed, while the remaining four fell into the waters of the Arabian Gulf and uninhabited areas. Eleven drones were also destroyed, and debris from the interception of one of them fell near a military site without causing any injuries, earlier today.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of the conflict on February 28, Iran has targeted civilian infrastructure in several Gulf countries, claiming that it is only aiming at U.S. interests and bases.
