Performance indicators
A closer look at the components of this performance reinforces the overall assessment. The Brand Finance report shows that the UAE maintained its tenth-place global ranking despite a general decline among most major countries, while also recording improvements in international reputation and global outreach indicators.
The UAE also performed strongly across multiple index categories, making notable gains in governance and security. It achieved its highest-ever ranking in governance indicators, approached the world’s top five in security and safety, and secured a spot among the top ten in government leadership.
The UAE also saw significant improvements in culture and societal values, reflecting ongoing efforts in cultural diplomacy, social openness, and promoting the country as a global model of coexistence and diversity.
For the first time, the UAE ranked among the world’s top ten investment destinations, driven by a stable business environment and strong adaptability to global economic shifts.
An economic perspective on the results
Economic expert Hanan Ramsis, speaking to Annahar, noted that several factors contributed to the UAE maintaining its strong position, most notably improvements in international reputation and global outreach, reflecting the country’s growing presence and influence on the world stage.
Ramsis highlights that the UAE has placed strong emphasis on building high-quality international partnerships in business and trade, while also making notable strides in governance, security, and sustainability.
Ramsis explains that the UAE’s strong investment reputation and stable business environment have made it a preferred destination for investors, thanks to its ability to adapt to global economic shifts and its growing status as a global economic hub. Leading indices in charity, ease of doing business, and economic growth opportunities further enhance its investment appeal, reflecting the diversity of the country’s soft power assets.
