Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah suspends US Embassy attacks for five days under conditions
Group warns of direct retaliation and possible escalation if demands, including halting strikes in Lebanon and protecting residential areas, are ignored
Reuters reported that Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah announced a five-day suspension of their attacks on the US embassy in Baghdad, noting that the decision is linked to a set of conditions.
According to a statement circulated by the group, the suspension coincides with key demands, including an end to what it described as the targeting of civilians in Lebanon, a commitment not to bomb residential areas in Baghdad and other provinces, and the withdrawal of US intelligence personnel from their positions while keeping them inside the embassy.

The group also warned that if these conditions are not met, it will respond directly, and attacks could escalate once the specified period ends.
