The Israeli army carried out an airstrike today, Thursday, on Haret Hreik in the Dahieh suburbs of southern Beirut. Initial information indicates that the target was a specific apartment, not the building whose residents had previously received evacuation warnings.

Later, a new Israeli airstrike targeted the threatened building in Ghobeiri.

The Israeli army, for its part, said: "We have begun targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut."

Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it is working to establish a "buffer zone" in southern Lebanon, after Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the forces to "advance and take control" of new positions.

An Israeli airstrike also targeted the Beddawi camp in Tripoli, with reports indicating that the target was a leader of the Hamas movement.

Annahar’s correspondent reported that an Israeli drone struck an apartment in Beddawi camp behind the Khalil Al-Rahman Mosque, killing Hamas official in the north, Wasim Attallah, and his wife, and injuring their children.

He noted that panic spread throughout the camp and surrounding areas following the airstrike, while loud gunfire was heard, reportedly targeting the drone, which continued to hover over the area for some time after the strike.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that “the Israeli enemy airstrike targeting an apartment in Beddawi camp in Tripoli resulted in the deaths of two people and injured a female citizen.”

Israeli aircraft also carried out airstrikes on towns in southern Lebanon, including Toul and Qlaileh. According to the National News Agency, the strike on a car on the Tyre–Naqoura road near Qlaileh killed three people.
