Ethara wins F1 Promoter of the Year following Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Ethara, the organiser of the Etihad Airways Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, announced that it has won the “F1 Promoter of the Year” title at the annual Formula 1 Promoters’ Awards held in London, in recognition of its efforts in delivering the best fully integrated event during the 2025 season.
The title is awarded based on a vote by Formula 1 management and is given to the entity that delivered the most comprehensive event in 2025 and embodied Formula 1’s ethos and mission.
Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, Chief Executive Officer of Ethara, said: “We are proud to receive the F1 Promoter of the Year title amid strong competition from an elite group of global organizers. This recognition reflects the strength of the Ethara team, which is working to deliver our vision of becoming a leading regional force in live entertainment. We will continue to raise the bar of excellence and leadership in delivering unforgettable experiences for fans from around the world.”
Stefano Domenicali, President and Chief Executive Officer of Formula 1, said: “The year 2025 marked another exceptional milestone in Formula 1’s journey, from start to finish, thanks to the continued efforts of our 24 promoters who helped deliver a world-class, fully integrated race experience for our fans. As Formula 1 enters its new generation in 2026, we remain committed to further advancing the sport and establishing high standards to be followed.”

The 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix witnessed an intense three-way battle for the Formula 1 Drivers’ World Championship, which culminated in Lando Norris being crowned world champion for the first time. The event also broke attendance records, attracting 339,000 fans over four days, including 203,000 spectators at Yas Marina Circuit and 136,000 visitors to the post-race concerts sponsored by Emirates NBD and the official Yasalam concerts.
The comprehensive fan experiences brought audiences closer to the heart of the action through two open pit lane walks, the new FAB track tours, and the podium celebration that allowed fans to celebrate on the circuit in an iconic moment befitting the season finale.
The “F1 Promoter of the Year” title represents the latest achievement added to the race’s growing list of accolades, following its win for Best Event Spectacle in 2024.
Since its launch in 2009, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has cemented its position as the region’s largest entertainment destination, through world-class sporting and entertainment events, attracting thousands of international visitors annually and showcasing the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on the global stage.
The 18th edition of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place from 3 to 6 December 2026, once again concluding the FIA Formula 1 World Championship season in the UAE capital.
