Israeli forces advance into southern Quneitra villages, Syria says

Israeli military forces advanced on Tuesday into several areas in the southern countryside of Quneitra.
The Syrian state news agency SANA reported that an Israeli force consisting of three military vehicles - two Hilux pickup trucks and a Hummer - advanced from the entrance of the town of Be’er Ajam toward the villages of Bariqa and Kudna.
Another force, made up of 12 military vehicles including Hummers and Hiluxes, advanced from the western entrance of the village of Saida al-Hanout to the village of Saida Golan.
According to SANA, a number of Israeli soldiers set up a temporary barricade at the western crossroads of Saida Golan, while others briefly entered the village, searched a house, and then withdrew from the area.
Israeli forces had previously advanced on Saturday into the villages of Ain Ziwan, Ain al-Qadi, and Bariqa in the southern countryside of Quneitra.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by what it describes as occupation forces in southern Syria are “null and void” and have no legal effect under international law.
