The Israeli army renewed its warnings to the residents of southern Lebanon, urging them not to move south of the “village line” previously established, and to avoid approaching the areas of the Litani River and the Salhani and Saluki valleys.

Adraee reminds residents not to return to these towns

In a message published by army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, residents were asked to refrain from returning to dozens of border towns, including Naqoura, Marwahin, Aita ash-Shaab, Bint Jbeil, Maroun al-Ras, Meiss al-Jabal, Houla, Adaisseh, and Kfarkela, amid the ongoing presence of Israeli forces in the south.

Katz hints at the fate of Gaza

At the same time, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz escalated his threats, stating that “the ultimate goal is dismantling Hezbollah,” and affirming that military operations would continue even during periods of calm. Katz suggested that southern Lebanon could face a fate similar to areas such as Rafah and Beit Hanoun in Gaza if the Lebanese state does not act to contain the situation.

Destruction and booby-trapping

On the ground, the Israeli army continued its operations in several southern villages, with reports of homes and infrastructure being blown up in towns such as Beit Lif, Chamaa, Al-Bayada, and Naqoura, alongside bulldozing and demolition activities in Bint Jbeil and Meiss al-Jabal. The outskirts of Kounine were targeted with artillery shells, while the skies over the Tyre area witnessed intensive low-altitude drone flights, coinciding with the nighttime launch of thermal balloons over the border villages.

In a notable development, it was reported that civilian facilities were blown up, including the Imam Al-Sadr sports complex in Meiss al-Jabal, in addition to the burning of ambulances and other vital facilities. The official vocational school in Khiyam, at the entrance of the town, was also destroyed after being booby-trapped and blown up by Israeli forces.
