Ceasefire in name only: Israel expands “Yellow Line” operations across southern Lebanon

Despite the declared ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, the Israeli army continues to carry out its operations in southern Lebanon, announcing the “Yellow Line” project, while a drone was recorded flying over the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

 

 

Israel warns residents not to return to South

 

In this context, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, issued an urgent message today, Monday, to the residents of southern Lebanon.

 

He said in a post on “X”:

 

“During the ceasefire period, the army continues to be stationed in its positions in southern Lebanon in response to the ongoing activities of Hezbollah.”

“For your safety and the safety of your family members, and until further notice, you are advised not to move south of the following villages and their surrounding areas: Mazraat Byout el-Saiyad, Majdal Zoun, Zebqine, Yater, Sarbin, Haddatha, Bayt Yahoun, Chaqra, Majdal Selm, Qabrikha, Froun, Zawtar el Gharbiyeh, Yohmor, Arnoun, Deir Mimas, Marjayoun, Ibl al-Saqi, al-Mari, Kfarchouba, Ain Qenia, and Ain Aata. Approaching the areas of the Litani River and the Salhani and Saluki valleys is also prohibited.”

 

He continued, "Additionally, please refrain from crossing into or returning to the following villages: Bayada, Chama, Tayr Harfa, Abou Chash, al-Jibbain, Naqoura, Zahajra, Matmoura, Yarin, Umm Tuta, Zalloutieh, Bustan, Chihine, Marwahin, Ramieh (Bint Jbeil), Beit Lif, Salhana, Ayta al-Shaab, Hanin, at-Tiri, Rachaf, Yaroun, Maroun al-Ras, Bint Jbeil, Ainata, Kounine, Aitaroun, Blida, Mhaibib, Meiss al-Jabal, Qalaa Deba, Houla, Markaba, Tallouseh, Bani Hayyan, Rab el-Talathine, Adaisse Marjayoun, Kfar Kila, Taybeh(Marjayoun), Deir Seryan, Qantara, Alman(Marjayoun), and Aadshit al-Qusayr, Qusayr, Maysat, Labbouneh, Iskandarouna, Shamaa, Jajim, Khirbet al-Ksif, Khiyam, Salib, Mazraat Sarada and Majidiyeh."

 

 

Targeting of a missile launcher

 

In turn, Israeli army spokesperson Captain Ella said:

 

“During the night, the army targeted a launch platform that was loaded and ready to fire in the Qallaouiyah area in southern Lebanon, north of the forward defense line,” adding: “The army will continue to operate to clear the area under its control in order to remove any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel and its forces.”
