The British Foreign Minister, Yvette Cooper, confirmed in a post on her 'X' platform page her country's support for its allies in the Gulf and the strengthening of the Emirati-British partnership, following a meeting with the UAE Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, today, Sunday.

 

 

 

During her visit to the United Arab Emirates, Cooper pointed out the “continuing work together to find a diplomatic solution” to the conflict in the Middle East, as well as “supporting regional stability and protecting freedom of navigation.” She affirmed the partnership between the United Kingdom and the UAE.

 

 

 

The two sides reviewed the latest regional developments related to the recent announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. They also discussed the importance of intensifying international efforts to establish security and stability and enhance the prospects for sustainable peace in the region. They explored several topics of mutual interest related to Emirati-British relations.
