Riyadh International Marathon Expands Into Four-Day Sports Festival in 2026
The Saudi Sports for All Federation announced the fifth edition of the Riyadh International Marathon, introducing the “Riyadh Marathon Festival” for the first time.
Held in partnership with the Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Arabian Athletics Federation, the four-day festival will take place at Princess Nourah University from January 28 to 31, 2026, with marathon races on the final day.
The event remains accredited by World Athletics as an Elite Road Race for the fifth consecutive year, following record participation of more than 40,000 runners in 2025.
This year’s edition features four races — 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, and a 5 km family run — offering an inclusive experience for all ages and fitness levels.
Federation President Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed said the marathon has evolved into a national community event promoting health and active lifestyles, aligned with Vision 2030.
The festival is supported by multiple government and private partners, with Alawwal Bank as presenting partner, and is expected to attract wide local and international media coverage.
