Israeli army strikes Syrian regime targets in response to attacks on Druze in Sweida
The Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced that "in response to attacks against the Druze population in the Sweida region, the army targeted infrastructure belonging to the Syrian regime in southern Syria."
He added: "Last night, the Israeli army struck, during the hours of the night, command centers and combat equipment in military camps belonging to the Syrian regime in southern Syria. This was in response to the events that took place yesterday (Thursday), during which Druze citizens in the Sweida region were attacked."

Adraee emphasized that "the Israeli army will not allow harm to come to the Druze in Syria and will continue to act to protect them," noting that "it continues to monitor developments in southern Syria and will operate according to instructions from the political leadership."
