Security forces arrest suspects in Homs mosque bombing
A security source told SANA on Monday that internal security forces have arrested those involved in the terrorist bombing at the Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in Homs.
A violent explosion rocked a mosque in the Wadi al-Dhahab neighborhood of Homs province, central Syria, on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, killing and wounding worshippers, according to official media.
The blast caused panic among worshippers and residents in the area.

The extremist group Saraya Ansar al-Sunna claimed responsibility in a statement, saying it detonated explosive devices inside a mosque in the city of Homs.
Syrian health authorities said the toll stands at eight dead and 18 injured.
The Homs Media Directorate confirmed that the explosion was caused by an explosive device planted inside the mosque.
