IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee posted a video on the platform formerly known as X, showing Israeli forces and Merkava tanks inside Lebanese territory, along with images of troops receiving instructions from their commander and others inside a house, without specifying the area of the incursion.

Adraee commented: “In recent days, Division 36 forces have initiated a focused ground activity toward an additional objective in southern Lebanon to expand the scope of the forward defense area.”
He added: “Alongside forces of Division 91 and following their previous mission, the forces continue efforts to consolidate the forward defense area to eliminate threats and establish an additional security layer for northern residents. Prior to the troops’ entry, the IDF launched attacks using artillery and air force planes targeting multiple terrorist targets in the area.”
Adraee also reiterated a threat to Hezbollah, saying that the Israeli military will “continue to act forcefully against it after deciding to join the battle and operate under the auspices of the Iranian regime, and will not allow any harm to Israeli citizens.”
Earlier, Israeli Radio reported that the military will request government approval to increase the number of reserve forces to 450,000 soldiers, as part of preparations for a large-scale ground operation in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Channel 12 Israel reported that the army is reinforcing its forces with two additional brigades to control more confrontation lines in southern Lebanon.
