Hebrew and international reports about an Israeli settler allegedly infiltrating the tomb of former Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in the southern suburbs of Beirut have stirred social media in recent hours.

According to Israel's Channel 7, the far-right settler Yitzhak Horitz unexpectedly traveled to Lebanon, during which he visited Hezbollah’s headquarters- where Israel assassinated Nasrallah over a year ago (September 27, 2024) - and insisted on visiting the tomb.

In an extensive report published in the magazine B'kheila, aligned with Israel’s far-right, Horitz detailed the visit, stating that he concealed his Israeli identity and entered Lebanon using a Spanish passport.

Horitz claimed that upon arrival, he toured the Dahieh neighborhood, visited Nasrallah’s bunker, and reached the burial site. Hezbollah flags lined the roads and corners, while a large banner bearing Nasrallah’s image welcomed visitors.

He described standing before a “large black tent” while the tour guide, Ali, explained: “This is Nasrallah's tomb tent, which was set up after a funeral attended by tens of thousands.” According to the guide, the site formerly housed an insurance company before Hezbollah purchased and demolished it to bury their Secretary-General there. A mosque is reportedly planned to be built over the tomb.

Horitz hesitated before entering the tent but was reassured by the guide: “Do not fear, you just need to do exactly as I tell you. Enter, and if they ask you questions you don’t understand in Arabic, I’ll answer for you. Do you understand?”

At the entrance, Ali introduced Horitz to armed men: “He is with me; he’s from Spain, supports the resistance, and came to pray. I know him,” Horitz recalled.

Horitz did not bring his phone into the compound; the guide instead photographed him next to the tomb, according to Channel 7.

As he left, Horitz encountered a blind man accompanied by family members. The guide explained that the man had been injured in the “Pager” operation targeting Hezbollah’s leadership and comes to pray at Nasrallah’s tomb. When Horitz requested to be photographed with the man, the guide became enraged: “It’s fortunate that no one here understands English. Your picture by the tomb was acceptable because you were almost alone, but you asked to photograph a person who is a fighter. Do you realize what that means? If they understood your request, they would have considered you a spy, and they would have arrested me and shot you in the head without any questions. I asked you to stick to what I tell you only,” according to Channel 7.
