A Saudi delegation met Friday with the leadership of the parliamentary bloc, the Shura Council, and tribal authorities in Hadramout, Yemen.

The delegation, headed by Major General Mohammed bin Obeid Al-Qahtani, held a series of important meetings with the local authorities, led by Hadramout Governor Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, as part of its visit to the province, which began on December 3.

Al-Qahtani said the meetings "continue the activities of the delegation's visit to various members of the social, tribal, and influential spectrum within Hadramout to enforce calm," noting that "the Kingdom's position is based on human solidarity, a rich historical record, geographical proximity, and strong social ties."

He emphasized the Kingdom’s rejection of any military formations operating outside the authority of the state and local government in Hadramout.

Governor Al-Khanbashi highlighted that "the visit of the Saudi delegation further strengthens the bonds of brotherhood, kinship, proximity, and faith that unite Hadramout with the Kingdom," praising "the Kingdom's supportive stances towards Hadramout in these exceptional circumstances."

The governor also said the visit would help support Hadramout and its local authorities in alleviating citizens’ hardships in public services, economic matters, and security.

Members of the parliamentary bloc and tribal authorities praised the Kingdom’s firm stance in addressing the consequences of the Transitional Council forces’ entry into the Hadramout Valley. They commended the Kingdom’s response to Hadramout’s appeal at this critical time, saying the meetings "serve as significant reassurance to the citizens and all segments of society."
