The United Nations reported that about 50,000 Syrians returned to their country from Lebanon last week following the spread of the regional war with Iran to the area.

The head of the International Organization for Migration mission in Lebanon, Matteo Luciano, said the UN agency is observing “significant cross-border movements.”
