“The Wire” actor James Ransone dead at 46

The American actor James Ransone, known for playing the drug dealer Ziggy Sobotka in the series "The Wire," has died according to officials on Sunday, with the Los Angeles Coroner's Office stating that he died by suicide.
Ransone (46 years old), who became famous for portraying characters with troubled pasts, was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the city where "The Wire" is set, centered around police officers investigating drug dealers.
Ransone played the role of a dockworker who becomes a drug dealer over 12 episodes of the second season of the series. In addition to his television work, Ransone appeared in several films.
