At an astounding price... America launches the 'Trump Gold Visa'!
The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has launched the 'Trump Gold Card,' granting wealthy foreigners the right to reside in the United States for a fee of one million dollars.
The Trump administration presents the program as a means to attract highly qualified, pre-screened workers for American companies.
Trump pledged significant revenue for the federal budget. According to previous figures released by the Department of Commerce, the gold card is expected to generate more than 100 billion dollars, while the more costly 'Platinum Card' program could bring in about a trillion dollars. The government has not specified the timeframe over which these funds will be collected.
The online application site indicates a waiting list for the 'Trump Platinum Card,' which allows wealthy applicants who pay five million dollars to spend up to 270 days annually in the United States without paying U.S. taxes on income earned abroad.
Trump wrote on the 'Truth Social' platform: 'So exciting! Our Great American Companies can finally keep their invaluable Talent.'
For a fee of two million dollars, companies can purchase a residency permit for an employee 'in record time,' after which the individual must pass a security screening.
The government states that cardholders may be eligible for citizenship after several years.
Officials explained that the system is similar to the well-known Green Card, which allows foreigners to live and work permanently in the United States.
As an example of how the gold card can be used, the administration stated that companies can retain foreign students after their graduation instead of requiring them to return to their home countries.
