The CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, announced on Monday that the company is taking exceptional measures to ensure every customer and shareholder gets what they need. He noted that ADNOC has faced attacks that no civilian institution, let alone one focused on supplying energy to the world, could ever withstand.

Al Jaber emphasized that arming the Strait of Hormuz is an economic act of terrorism with a global impact far beyond energy markets. He stated that no country should be allowed to take the strait hostage and that the world’s critical routes must remain open, with the Strait of Hormuz being one of them.

He stressed that the United Arab Emirates has not sought to engage in the conflict and that the attack on the UAE is illegal and unjustified, noting that rising oil prices slow economic growth everywhere.
