Milestone Systems drives AI-Powered security and smart city innovation at Intersec Dubai 2026
The 27th edition of Intersec 2026, the world’s premier exhibition for manufacturers and buyers in the security, safety, and fire protection sectors, kicks off today under the patronage of Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Border and Ports Security Council.
The exhibition runs from January 12 to 14, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre and is expected to be the largest and most comprehensive edition in its history. It will host over 1,200 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and welcome more than 50,000 specialized visitors from around the world. Driven by unprecedented international demand and strong participation from the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Singapore, Sweden, China, Turkey, and Korea, the exhibition space has expanded to 65,000 square meters, spanning multiple halls and outdoor areas. This growth further cements Dubai’s position as a global hub for security innovation, emergency preparedness, and resilience enhancement.
With the launch of Intersec Dubai 2026, Milestone Systems, the global leader in data-driven video technology, is accelerating its efforts to support the future of smart safety and operational resilience in the region. The company’s participation comes as the world focuses on the UAE’s ambition to become a global hub for innovation in artificial intelligence.
Building on strong growth in the Middle East and North Africa, Milestone Systems begins 2026 by expanding its AI solutions portfolio and strengthening its regional presence. The company recently launched the new generation of its advanced visual language model in two versions tailored for the EU and the US, alongside two innovations based on this model: a video summarization tool for the XProtect platform and Visual Language as a Service.

The UAE continues to strengthen its position as a global hub for scalable, secure, and responsible AI solutions, encouraging Gulf countries to increasingly adopt AI-supported safety systems across smart cities, transportation, critical infrastructure, and industrial operations, in alignment with Milestone's open platform strategy.
Commenting on the participation, Louise Bou Rached, Regional Director for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa at Milestone Systems, stated: "The value of video technologies doubles when they move beyond traditional security to become a source of actionable data that drives smarter decisions and tangible business outcomes. With Milestone's open platform and advanced AI-supported capabilities, customers gain far more than conventional surveillance systems. As the UAE and the Gulf region increasingly adopt AI to enhance safety, efficiency, and resilience, our open platform empowers public and private institutions to transform video data into operational intelligence, supporting corporate excellence and informed decision-making".
