Saudi Vision 2030 report 2025: Key highlights & growth
Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman confirmed today, Saturday, that the passing of a decade since the launch of Vision 2030 represents an important milestone to continue strengthening the Kingdom’s position and pushing it toward further progress and advancement. He noted that the achievements accomplished place a greater responsibility to double efforts, consolidate gains, and ensure their sustainability.
Bin Salman explained that the Kingdom has succeeded in turning the vision into a tangible reality thanks to the efforts of the nation’s sons and daughters and its active institutions. He also stressed working to intensify plans and tools to strengthen the development path.
Saudi Arabia Vision 2030
The 2025 annual report of Saudi Vision 2030 showed a continued acceleration in the pace of achievements across various development tracks, indicating the maturity of the implementation system and the effectiveness of strategic planning.
According to the report, 93 percent of the performance indicators for national programs and strategies achieved their interim targets or exceeded them, while 90 percent of initiatives were either completed or are progressing on the right track.
Broad implementation of reforms and initiatives
The report stated that 935 initiatives out of 1,290 have been fully completed, while 255 initiatives are progressing according to plan. It also highlighted the completion of more than 2,200 regulatory and legislative reforms, including updates to regulations and the establishment of new entities.
Economic transformation and investment growth
On the economic side, the contribution of non oil activities rose to 55 percent of gross domestic product, and the private sector’s contribution reached 51 percent, reflecting a structural shift toward economic diversification.
Foreign direct investment has increased fivefold to reach 133 billion riyals, while the assets of the Public Investment Fund have risen to approximately 3.41 trillion riyals.
Quality of life and social improvement
The quality of life pillar recorded significant progress, with home ownership rising to 66.24 percent, healthcare coverage reaching 97.5 percent, and average life expectancy approaching 80 years.
Traffic accident deaths decreased by 79.7 percent, while the number of pilgrims performing Umrah increased to more than 18 million.
Community empowerment and the non-profit sector
The number of volunteers increased to more than 1.7 million, while the non-profit sector recorded growth of 342 percent, reflecting an expansion in community participation.
At the global level, the Kingdom achieved advanced rankings, most notably first place in cybersecurity and third in the artificial intelligence index, strengthening its global competitiveness.
