Our Cedars

Our Cedars
Our Cedars
A+ A-

As everyone knows, the cedar tree is the main symbol of Lebanon. It is what makes Lebanon different from other countries in the world. The cedar tree is very old, but, because of Lebanon’s care to this tree, we still see it today. It is also considered to be the most important national and cultural treasure of Lebanon.

In the meantime, the cedar trees are in great danger because builders are cutting them off to make furniture. Lebanon is getting even more polluted and plants can’t live like this or else they will die. That is what brings us to our topic which is the importance of protecting the cedar tree and how to protect it.

The cedar tree is a very dear treasure to Lebanon; it resembles Lebanon and it is the identity of Lebanon and every Lebanese person. The cedar tree made Lebanon a unique country; so why destroy it?

Cedar trees are not hard to grow and will give elegance to any space where they have room to spread. But they are endangered because Lebanon is getting polluted. If we protect the cedar tree, we will be protecting the environment and here are three ways to help.

First, we can motivate people to donate money to have many workers working on protecting and talking care of cedar trees through a television campaign.

Second, if a person can take care of his house, that means he has responsibility for the environment. The house is like the environment. For example, people don’t cut off things at home but cut things in the environment! Why do people destroy the environment? Just treat the environment as you would treat your house or any belonging of yours.

Third, if a person was ethical, he would have the necessary knowledge to protect the environment to let the cedar trees live and grow. I hope for all people to be ethical and responsible, and i hope that they take care of the environment. Let us imagine Lebanon without cedar trees maybe. It may become the ugliest and most polluted country; so please take care!

In conclusion, from all these paragraphs and tips, we should learn that cedar trees resemble Lebanon, and this country would be nothing without them. Please consider one of these tips and become responsible towards the environment.
