Turki Al-Sheikh, advisor and chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, announced a major artistic event titled “Night of the Cedar”, scheduled to take place soon as part of the Riyadh Season activities.
The announcement came via a brief post on Al-Sheikh’s official X account, featuring musical symbols and the Lebanese flag, signaling the event’s celebratory theme.
Meanwhile, audiences are eagerly awaiting the Joy Awards 2026, set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, Saudi time (5 p.m. Beirut time) at the ANB Arena. Organized by the General Entertainment Authority as part of Riyadh Season, it celebrates top stars and influencers in cinema, drama, music, sports, and content creation, drawing wide artistic and media attendance.
The official voting phase for the 2026 Joy Awards began weeks ago after the nomination phase, which saw significant public engagement. With the full list of nominees now announced, the public can vote for their favorite stars.
Fans were also invited to suggest additional nominees or works not initially included, provided they were presented in 2025 or achieved notable accomplishments during that year. The move aims to enhance inclusivity and give the public an active role in shaping the event.
