Home Quarantine, “Stay at Home,” Supply Kit
BEIRUT: Many Lebanese are opting to stay at home when possible and exercising a degree of caution in protecting health while a pandemic of unknown proportions continues to infect citizens.
Then there are those citizens that have been ordered into home quarantine based on their possible exposure to Covid-19.
Either way, given current circumstances -- health, economic, social unrest, and others -- it is a good idea to prepare a “stay at home” kit sufficient to last 14 days or longer. Annahar is suggesting mostly non-perishable supplies so if there are leftovers they can be used year-round such as that local favorite Kishik. In some cases, we suggest perishables such as tomatoes as they will be used up quickly.
Annahar wishes to stress there are no shortages in the market, nor is any panic shopping necessary.
Based on the amount of food suggested we are publishing this home supply kit under Annahar’s Dish section, though it obviously contains some non-food items.
Follows the “Home Supply” list prepared by staff suggestion and we welcome additions and amendments, write to Dish section editor Chiri Choukeir, whose contact info is given below.
