Virus? Yes please. Hunger, in all means, yes please. Why? We live in a world where people no longer acclaim human nature that God has created. We live in a world where abortion even after the infant is born is okay. Where homosexual marriage and bringing kids into their life is okay. Where production of human beings in laboratories is okay. As Pope Benedict XVI stated:"A hundred years ago it was absurd to talk about such subjects, however today whoever opposes it is considered socially excommunicated." Where hunger in poor countries is okay and no one looks at them because we live in a world full of egotistical people. We live in a world where humans replaced God and prayer by materialistic things. We live in a world where people don’t take care of their environment, from pollution, to garbage, to cutting trees, to killing animals and their habitats, to damaging natural beautiful features to make profit from. We live in a world where kleptocracy is leading citizens to hunger and suicide, when officials couldn’t care less. The world needs something more than Covid-19, the world deserves to see the worst days of their lives. We are going to reach days poorer than this if the world continues living in this evil manner!
On the other hand, COVID-19 has affected people in many positive ways. It brought them closer as a family, closer to prayer and faith, and helped people change their perspective about life. After this, people will learn to live the present and not take anything in life for granted not even the most rudimental ones, because each day is a gift and not a given right. We will learn that life isn't about money and materialistic things, because we saw the world shut down in just a night.
Last but not least, don’t worry this whole pandemic will be gone one day and we will get back to our normal lives. We will be better people, caring for others, no longer see nurses, Red Cross, store clerks as staff, but as heroes. In time to come, we will know the true meaning of family, nature, and going to church every Sunday. We will know the true meaning of faith and God, and that we shouldn’t worry about tomorrow because our lives are in His hands.
