Watch Out for renowned investors at Arabnet Beirut X

BEIRUT: Taking place on 12 and 13 June at the Seaside Arena, this year’s Arabnet Beirut celebrates its 10 year anniversary, a decade since it began its journey setting the ground for digital business and entrepreneurship in the MENA region.

The event will gather over 3000 industry leaders, government leaders, and entrepreneurs under one roof to partake in cutting-edge panels, initiative, and competitions.

One of the initiatives, titled Investor Lounge, will provide one-on-one interactions and meetings between the most active investors and entrepreneurs that are disrupting traditional business models. Such an initiative would provide entrepreneurs with a chance to build powerful synergies and receive advice on how to take their business to the next level.

Christos Mastoras - Iliad Partners

Christos is an investor and former entrepreneur and digital operating executive with 20+ years of experience in tech in the US, Europe and MENA. Previously, he was the Head of Business Development of Yahoo Maktoob, and a management consultant with Booz & Company. As an entrepreneur, Christos has four exits including GlamBox.ME, acquired in 2017. He sits on the Advisory Board of several startups including MAGNiTT and The Box and is on the Steering Committee of In5.

Hassan Zainal - Arzan VC ​

Hasan Zainal founded Arzan Venture Capital (“ArzanVC”) in late 2013, bringing with him 9 years of investment and operational experience. He has co-founded different businesses and was instrumental in building the right teams to manage the growth prospects of each company. Hasan has worked with Global Investment House, in their PE Department for transaction and due diligence team, and he co-founded Edge Foods. He currently sits on the boards of Al Amanah Holding, Edge Foods, BBK Geojit Securities, INC Technologies and Mesk Holdings.

James Tan - Quest Ventures

James Tan is Managing Partner at Quest Ventures, a leading venture fund for technology companies that have scalability and replicability in large internet communities. Prior to this, he was co-founder and COO of 55tuan, a NASDAQ listed e-commerce group that grew to more than 200 cities and 5,000 employees across China.

Omar Sati - DASH Ventures

Omar J. Sati is co-founder and managing partner at DASH Ventures. He has been integral in supporting Jordan’s startup ecosystem since its early days and remains a driving force behind the development of the region’s most cutting-edge tech companies. He currently serves as a mentor and advisor to early-stage startups and sits on the board of several fast-growing ventures, leveraging his 20 years of international investment experience.
